Hi Team

Just a very quick email to firstly wish you & your families a HAPPY NEW YEAR from BTR and to give you a quick reminder that we have our first official race event happening in Timaru this weekend (9-11/01/2004). So for all those able to be a part of it and support us track side, please make your presence felt (make plenty of noise in support) & of course make sure you let US know you're there too. For all those not able to make it, keep an eye on the TV news & radio sports news. But if that fails, keep your eye out for our newsletter update coming out next week that will of course give a full update of the event & how we did. We are also hoping to have our new website up and going for the weekend too. The website will of course be updated continually after every meet or newsworthy event. As soon as it's up, I'll send you all a quick email with the address and a link so you can view it first hand for yourselves.

The team are travelling down to Timaru on Wednesday night and through the wee small hours of Thursday morning. Practise & set-up day is Friday with Qualifying Saturday & racing on Sunday. As mentioned in the last newsletter we are taking the new BTR Coach (believe it or not we actually got finished in time) which will be some very welcome additional quality accommodation for the team (along with the transporter). The pictures show the coach in it's almost finished condition. Of course this is where we will hope to look after a lot of you when you do come track side to support us. As this is being written, there are still a few minor finishing touches being made to the race truck itself however we are quietly confident we'll go very well with all the changes & hard work (particularly from Malcolm) that have gone in since last season. We'll keep you posted but right now ...
