RULE CHANGES
There has been a change in the wind regarding the rule changes that were made by the Truck Racing Association. "Due to a number of Teams complaining about the rule changes regarding tyres and weight allowances directly to Motor Sport New Zealand, Motor Sport New Zealand has decided that they will Over-rule the weight and tyre decisions that were made by the Truck Racing Association at the AGM. It was decided that the proposed rule changes be put on hold until after the Manfield Meeting, where all representatives from Motor Sport New Zealand and the Truck Racing Association can attend and discuss these issues further.
This is definitely a huge let down for BTR. On the bright side of things, the Race Truck is now a few 100 kilos lighter, we have yet to get the final weight but it's looking very promising. Malcolm has definitely done his homework on this one.
Since the last update, we've been busy stripping the Race Truck, repainting and putting the jigsaw all back together again. (I'm glad Malcolm knows how it all fits). The new Diff has been fitted, suspension arms chromed, bars plated, fuel & water tanks polished … (thanks girls). Basically a lot of sandblasting, paint stripping, re-painting, and polishing. The result … A brand spanking new Race Truck.

A huge thanks goes to all the Crew members who put in their time and effort. Your efforts are very much appreciated.
As they say, "many hands make light work".
That's it for now, till Manfield.
